Dead Sky Publishing's "THE CASE OF THE BLEEDING WALL" – Re-Printed After Two Sold Out Releases.

On September 20, 2023, Dead Sky Publishing launched The Case of the Bleeding Wall. Written by Bram Stoker Award and Edgar Award-winning author Joe R. Lansdale (Hap & Leonard, Bubba Ho Tep) and his daughter, author/country singer Kasey Lansdale (Creepshow, Impossible Monsters), art by Daniele Serra (Hellraiser, The Crow) and colorist Tom Napolitano (Batman: Last Knight on Earth, Wonder Woman Evolution). They brought to life the eerie and intense world of Dana Roberts, an international supernatural-er, supernormal sleuth as she is asked to investigate paranormal activity in Rome by her ex-lover. She is accompanied by her new friend Jana as they find a mystery going beyond Dana’s previous experiences, and things inexorably spiral out of control from there.

The first release of this series immediately sold out, and due to public demand Dead Sky issued a reprint with a new cover by multiple Eisner Award-winning comics creator Dustin Nguyen. That too sold out.

So for everyone that missed it (and those that like to collect every iteration) Dead Sky are making a third printing in a collection edition. All four issues of the series will be available in a beautiful quality collected edition, which publishes May 28. Good money says these will probably go quick as well.

For those that need more of Dana’s adventures, either in lead up to this release or afterwards, it is important to know that it is actually adapted from a novella by Joe R. Lansdale and Kasey Lansdale. The Case of the Bleeding Wall is the sixth part in the series of seven stories. All of which were collected in Terror Is Our Business: Dana Roberts' Casebook of Horrors.

Though the original authors retained writing control of their comic adaptation, they obviously had to relinquish some control of the visual aspects. Two sell out sales really shows they made the right choice with Daniele Serra and Tom Napolitano. Both have had well established careers working with Image and DC Comics, amongst many other publishers.

For those who like their urban fantasy and supernatural (or supernormal) mysteries, this might be right up your alley. You also don’t have to wait until May. Pre-orders are already available from the following retailers.
