Finn Wolfhard Writing And Directing New Horror-Comedy Flick 'HELL OF A SUMMER'

‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ star Finn Wolfhard has dealt with horror for most of his career but now the young actor is taking on the daunting task of writing and directing a “horror-comedy slasher movie,” and Variety updates on the project this afternoon with the announcement that the film is now titled Hell of a Summer.

Joining Finn in the writing and directing role will be Billy Bryk (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), with both actors also starring in the film. The cast also includes Fred Hechinger (Fear Street 1994).

No plot details as of now but we’re sure to hear more soon.

Variety reports, “Fred Hechinger, Aggregate Films’ Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan, and Parts and Labor’s Jay Van Hoy will produce the film, with principal photography beginning this month in Ontario, Canada.”

“I am so excited to be co-directing my first feature film,” Finn Wolfhard said in a statement today. “I get the chance to work with an incredible cast and crew, and to work with a company like 30West and Aggregate is a real dream.”
