Rob Zombie's 'House of 1000 Corpses' Returns To Theaters TODAY For Special 20th Anniversary Screening

The Firefly family returns to the big screen for the 20th anniversary of ‘House of 1000 Corpses.’ Hosted by Fathom Events, starting today (October 8th) and Wednesday (October 11th) Rob Zombie’s cult classic film will be showing at AMC, Regal, Cinemark, and select other theaters.

Over the years, House of 1000 Corpses has gained vast traction in various aspects of the film and horror community. So much so that it has even been made into a house/maze for Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood and Orlando. Ironically enough, the film was originally supposed to be produced by Universal, but after fearing that it would have an NC-17 rating, they ultimately dropped the film. Rob Zombie also took it over to MGM but was again declined release. In 2003 (three years after it was shot) Lionsgate agreed to release the film, and at that moment in time, the world of horror would forever be changed.

Two years later ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ was released in 2005 as a direct sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, and finally in 2019, ‘3 From Hell’ would finish off the Firefly trilogy. Over the last 20 years, Rob Zombie has directed numerous other films such as his own renditions of ‘Halloween’ and ‘Halloween II’, ‘The Lords of Salem’, and ‘31.’
