'TERRIFIER 2' Pulls In A Shocking $1.2 Million At The Box Office

It’s a shocking feat to say the least but ‘Terrifier 2’ has pulled in an astounding $1.2 Million at the box office for its opening weekend. The uncut, 138 minute feature film slashed its way into 900 theaters across America this weekend and boy did it clean up. It’s even more impressive in the fact that Damien Leone‘s epic slasher is also an indie film.

There was no major studio backing this flick and even crazier, marketing wasn’t done to the degree that major films see so this is a very good sign for new and indie horror.

The film is a hit with critics and fans alike, currently Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 90% critic score and a 93% audience score as of this writing.

The highly anticipated sequel to the cult-favorite slasher film welcomes back David Howard Thornton as the demonic killer, Art the Clown. Terrifier 2 also introduces Lauren LaVera as Sienna, who will become an instant fan favorite. Also returning is Samantha Scaffidi who will reprise her role as Victoria Heyes. Horror icon Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) also makes an appearance.

Terrifier 2 has Art the Clown up to his old tricks once again…

Following his gruesome demise in the first film, a sinister presence has brought Art back to life to rein terror on the residents of Miles County. On Halloween night, he returns to the unassuming town and sets his sights on fresh prey: a teenage girl and her little brother, portrayed by Lauren LaVera and Elliott Fullam, respectively.
